Dylan Weir

Dylan Weir is a poet and teacher based in Chicago. Dylan has received an MA from DePaul University (in English Literature) and an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Poetry) where he taught creative writing and composition. A volunteer for the Oakhill Prison Humanities Project, his work is forthcoming in North American Review (2018 James Hearst Prize finalist) and Sycamore Review. His poems have previously appeared in Blue Earth Review, Rhino, Tinderbox, Word Riot, and Yemassee and has been featured at The Poetry Foundation, on Wisconsin Public Radio, in the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, and on Madison Metro Bus lines. Dylan is currently at work on the manuscript for his first collection of poems, which, at the moment, he is calling Public House
